Bird watching
A spectacle of nature and colors in every season in the Delta del Po
The Delta del Po hosts over three hundred bird species, making it one of Europe's most important destinations for photography and nature enthusiasts. Exploring the embankments and valleys, you can observe herons, black-winged stilts, and large colonies of pink flamingos. These splendid animals acquire their typical hue only as they grow: their pink color actually comes from their diet based on algae, mollusks, and small crustaceans like Artemia salina, all organisms rich in carotenoids.
The park offers different sights in every season: in winter, ducks arrive from northern Europe, while spring brings nesting and major migratory flows from Africa, turning every outing into a new experience.
