Walking in the Delta del Po offers the opportunity to explore an ever-changing landscape, moving at a slow pace between embankments, floodplains, and woodlands. The most popular routes touch upon fascinating spots, such as the wooden boardwalks of the Giardino Botanico di Porto Caleri suspended between sand and water, the trails in the shade of the ancient Bosco della Mesola, and the itinerary of the Oasi di Ca' Mello.

Along these paths, you cross the fossil dunes, sand reliefs that mark the ancient coastline. Walking on these formations, you will step on land that centuries ago lay beneath the Adriatic Sea, before river sediment accumulation expanded the mainland. The trails are easy, well-marked, and allow you to observe up close the wild vegetation and the animals of the wetlands.
